EDASTIM - z předškoláka školákem

Preparation for the 1st grade at your home

Individual preparation for the 1st grade - EDASTIM program (education and stimulation)

Entering the 1st grade is a significant event for children. However, sometimes they may struggle to cope with everything as they would like, and they need help. In order to support the development of your preschooler as accurately as possible, we will start with an orientation diagnosis of specific cognitive functions, which will help me identify any weaknesses they may have. We can then work together to address these weaknesses, aiming to prevent possible academic difficulties and the associated feelings of disappointment.

However, to be able to help your child as effectively as possible, I first recommend looking at possible persistent primitive reflexes in your child (Neuro-developmental stimulation). Their undesirable presence can significantly influence the learning process, the ability to concentrate, social contact with peers, motor skills, behavior, experience, ... the overall quality of his life.

However, it is very important not to focus solely on what the child is struggling with at the moment, but also to notice their strengths and work on their development. If we recognize the strengths of the child, they can become supporting points in developing areas that are weaker for them.

Individual preparation for the 1st grade - EDASTIM program (education and stimulation)

The foundation of preschooler's individual preparation is development of individual skills with an emphasis on those that appear to be weakened - visual and auditory discrimination and memory, attention, spatial and temporal orientation, pre-mathematical concepts, left-right orientation, preparation for reading, language development, vocabulary, development of fine motor skills, social skills, etc. As a result, there is an increasing level of readiness of the preschooler for the 1st grade, balancing developmental disparities supported by comprehensive pedagogical intervention on my part.

I work with the EDASTIM program, authored by Mgr. Jiřina Bednářová, an experienced educator and author of many books and materials for children. This program aims at comprehensive and systematic development of preschool children. Through play and other activities, it supports abilities and skills important for future reading, writing, and math proficiency. But not only that. It stimulates curiosity, the need for exploration, thinking, logical reasoning, and interconnectedness of mental operations in children.

We will meet 10 times once every 14 days. At each meeting, I will focus on your preschooler and show you how to work with them in the following days. I will explain everything you need to understand about the program's worksheets. If we find during the preschool preparation that we need to focus more on a specific skill, we will enrich our work with materials that further develop that area.

I can devote myself to and to fresh first graders, who are showing difficulties in mastering school skills.
